P918    Integration of IP over Optical Networks: Networking and Management

This Deliverable prepares the ground for the experimental verification of the findings
and conclusions of P918 (to be performed in the framework of P1014 TWIN -
Testing WDM IP Networks). It describes the test-beds available at the project partners for the experimental assessment of IP over Optical Transport Networks.
It presents the experiments and test suits needed for the comparison of the different
solutions and the verification of the theoretical results.

It also addresses the applicability of WBM (Web Based Management) techniques
for the management of an Optical Transport Network.

This Deliverable is valuable to Network Operators that want to test their optical IP
transport networks.

The results presented in this Deliverable are of interest to network planners, network
management designers, and experts working for manufacturers of optical IP transport systems.
